Или пък в нейния модерен вариант, преплетен в различни стилове. J-pop, както е по-популярна на запад. В това и Visual kei. Освен това, отличителна черта на съвременната японска музика, е изобилието от слова (думите в текста) в мелодията. Празни пространства, необгърнати от такива, общо взето липсват.
